Handle reinsurance claim notices and billings in assigned accounts or lines of business in a timely and accurate manner. Communicate information about claim notices and developments to management, underwriters, actuaries, and finance. Independently calculate treaty shares of claims and review reserve changes and billings to ensure they represent proper liabilities under the treaty documents. Review reinsurance claim notices and billings by analysing treaty terms and conditions and seek needed approvals to keep the handling process moving promptly and efficiently. Contact brokers, Claim Managers, finance, underwriters and actuaries as needed to properly process claim notices. Be proficient in the use of the claims management and document management systems and enter information accurately into both systems. Assist in claim auditing as needed either in preparation or attendance.
